LEBANON

Save the Children has been piloting and testing different approaches that utilize technology to monitor student (and teacher) attendance and enrolment. Waliku is working to support the SC teams in understanding evaluate the applicability of tools already in use at Save the Children to track attendance and enrolment and assess options the organization could use in future.

Our Objectives:
  • Review and identify programme tools that can track re-enrollment/attendance
  • Present preliminary findings to SC contact points
  • Develop an Options Paper on the agreed-upon re-enrollment/attendance programme tools, this is to include a summary of the approaches to monitoring student (and teacher) attendance; with a focus on value for money (VfM), strengths, weaknesses, contextualization requirements, main costs, infrastructure demands, and key considerations for sustainable engagement.
  • Compile a guidance note for programme teams choosing between the different tools to track re-enrolment within programmes; and provide recommendations on stakeholder management and critical entry points
