YEmen

Student retention is directly tied to the learning and wellbeing of a child in schools across geographies. Tech can play a crucial role in supporting the school administrations and educators to monitor, track and provide timely intervention for student learning and retention.

Waliku has expanded its footprints in Yemen to support student retention, dropout rates, track attendance and semester scores.

Waliku is supporting the implementation of the Gateway basic education project in Yemen funded by USAID. It is a five-year project 2019-2024 for strengthening basic education, ensuring student retention and preventing dropouts.
Waliku enables all the teams in capturing relevant data through our digital monitoring system to ensure that children who are at risk of dropping out are identified regularly and with timely intervention.

Our Objectives
  • Provide digital tools with technology support
  • Support project staff to track and monitor student enrolment, attendance, staff attendance and student semester score
  • Create monitoring dashboard for MEAL staff to monitor all schools monthly
  • Provide training, on-going implementation, data analyses and engineering support to enable the country team in data documentation, recording, visualization, tracking and monitoring student retention and drop out data
